Canberra is covered in white.
No, it's not snowing.
No, it's not snowing.
The trees are sending out their seeds in a haze of fluff - it carries beautifully on the wind...
What may appear to be poor quality photography up in the top left is, in fact, seed-fluff. (That's a technical term which I made up.) It gets everywhere. Up noses, down throats, into houses and cars.
I've never seen anything quite like it. Although I've seen some weird things.
What odd natural phenomena have you witnessed lately??

Sounds messy but it's totally biodegradable. In about 3 weeks I'll be able to send you a photo of "whiteflufflystuff!
I wonder how many of those seeds will get to grow roots someday?
We get whie fluff like that from the cottonwood trees in the spring. But Donn is right - the REAL fluffy stuff is inevitable and we are just waiting....
Okay... that should be 'white'... just got out of bed so the fingers aren't quite warmed up yet....
Very poetical. Nice photos, too. I haven't seen any odd natural phenomena - but the human mind is program to take natural phenomenums and convince people to think that they are ordinary.
I'd watched grammasites in flight over the pleasure domes of Xanadu, felt the strangeness of listeners glittering on the dark stair...
Oopps, sorry thats not me, thats Jasper Fforde. I've been watching the moon waxing and waneing and the dance of the stars across the heavens lately.
Are you up for watching Bladerunner again? Prehaps I should read 'Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep'
Wow...I didn't know the trees in Canberra were that special...
I need to take an image of my backyard, no jokes, it is the same thing in my backyard, I was in awe of it when I was hanging out my clothes on the line. And when Mia was jumping on the trampoline too.
Donnnnnnn - very few, probably. Most seems to be landing on the lake! :)
Ponygirl - does it make you sniff and sneeze? :(
Andrew - You can steal Ffffforde's experiences if you want, although they're probably copywrited...
Althea - we're all "special" in Canberra... very very special...
Cazzie - was it all over the trampoline? That would've been awesome to see :)
