Well, the weekend was lots of fun and I'm not yet sick of Harry Potter. I'm still hanging out for the book this Saturday - We have it on pre-order, so I'll be lining up outside the bookshop waiting for it to open...!!! I think Harry's going to die, so I'm going to buy a big box of tissues before I even start reading!

We saw my parents on Sunday, and we're seeing Aidan's parents tonight. It turns out that our fathers' birthdays are within days of each other, which is just another eerie similarity in the lives of Aidan and myself.

I've started to make jewellery. Nothing fancy or flash, just little simple creations of wire and beads, but it's fun. I'm thinking of trying to do an apprenticeship and becoming a real jeweller, but it's still just a grub of an idea so far.

Well, I had a little "end of first week" feedback from my new boss today. He says I've done a good week's work, and seems quite happy with me. He has also informed me of certain dates when he will be away, and it will be my responsibility to manage everything in his absence. He evidently believes that by the time those dates roll around I will be sufficiently capable. This is good!

My last few posts have ALL been about work - interviews and leaving and starting. What else can I blog? Should I do another endangered species?

Actually, here's a thought: give me a potential blog topic in the Comments, I'll pick one and research it and blog it in the next week or so.

The deal is as follows: I go in and spend 2 hours going through what the job involves on Thursday morning. If both sides, me and he, agree that I'll manage it ok, then I'll start the job properly on Monday 7th May!!!
