"Ugh" pretty much sums me up this morning. It's Tuesday morning and I'm back at work after a long weekend... my back and hips are killing me, I'm still about three-quarters asleep, and I just want to go hoooome!!!

However, having had that gripe, it was a nice weekend. We went geocaching on Sunday morning, found 4 in one morning, which we were quite pleased about. We did our first multi-cache, too. That's when the original co-ordinates given aren't actually the location of the cache, but a location with a hint to the cache site. Or, as in this case, a hint to the site of another hint which finally led to the actual cache. Lots of fun! And I saw a snake.

Other than that we didn't do much. The weather had closed in again, and was rather anti-outdoorsy stuff. Rain and wind and thunder. Nice weather for staying in and playing computer games, so that's what we did for most of yesterday.

And I've dyed my hair purple again.

Hi Stace,
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I like snakes. Was it a tiger, or a red-bellied-black-snake, or a taipan, or a brown snake?

I couldn't tell what kind of snake it was... I just saw it briefly as it slithered off a rock.

I love that kind of day, to sleep off a night duty shift it is perfection :)

Show me your purple hair..SHOW ME!

Did you have a great big stick to whack the snake with?

After I saw the snake, Aidan picked up a big stick. But we didn't see any more. I'll get a photo of the purple hair... eventually...

You're addicted to this geo-caching thing, huh? It sounds like fun. I know about the vid games.

I know...

Tell Aidan and Donn, not to whack snakes - as it will almost make it a certainty that they will get bitten. And I'm not sucking vemon out of anyone's legs. Leave and let live - thats my motto - except for white tails...

And redbacks...

There was a redback on the toilet seat,
When I was there last night.
I didn't see him in the dark,
But boy I felt his bite.
I jumped up high into the air,
And when I hit the ground.
That crafty redback spider,
Wasn't nowhere to be found...

Andrew - it's amazing how many people don't realise that snakes will leave you alone if you don't piss them off. Aidan only carried a stick in case, for instance, I stepped on one by accident!! :)

I wouldn't whack a snake with a stick?
I'd use Pepper Spray.

Not to worry Mates I would just leave them alone. I have no intentions of being injected and having my blood coagulate into jello and clogging my arteries.
