Still here, still unemployed, still homeless!!! I've had a couple of meetings with recruitment agents, but nothing on the real estate front yet. It's hard because I really don't know the areas or where anything is, I really need Aidan's help to find us somewhere to live but he's so busy! I'm hoping he'll be able to have a look online at work today. I hate being unemployed. As much as I've hated various jobs I've had over the years, I hate not working more. It's so boring! And so restrictive - it means that I can't just go and buy a book or DVD that I want, I can't just casually have an expensive lunch if I feel like it... I mean, I have a little money saved up (and I spent some of that yesterday on a DVD), but I still feel that I really need to be careful until I have an income again. I feel guilty spending anything when I'm not bringing anything in. Neeeeeed wooooork! Anybody want to pay me to do anything? Maybe I should start having ads on my blog?! What a sell-out, no way. Oh well, things will get better. It's not as though we're destitute, there are millions of people worse off so I shouldn't complain.

I need someone to delete all of my useless emails, and talk to people on facebook on my behalf. You could light a fire in my office too, that would help, or steal my car... Sadly I can not think of anything longterm or in the correct state/territory. Any jobs working for MPs?

Cheers,
Andrew

Chantell - I don't have my scooter yet :( The company moving it say it'll be a couple of weeks until it gets here, don't ask me why. I'll tell mum you said hi :)

Andrew - I'd love to delete all your emails! Although I'm a bit over Facebook.

Anyway, no matter, I've been offered a job which I think I'll accept, and will probably start work on Tuesday.

Way To Go! Good things happen to good people.
It is discombobulating to move to a different city. It will take a few weeks to get your bearings. Is it a pretty place? Our Capital is by neccessity one of the most beautiful places in the country.

It must be great to be back together..nothing is going to stop you now. Remember, these ARE the "good times".

Donn - oh man, that makes me think of Donny Osmond - anyway, yes. Our capital is quite pretty, I suppose. In a scrubby, used-to-be-Australian-bushland kind of way. You know, left over gumtrees and dry grass. A 20 minute drive from the city centre puts you right back in the bush. We do have some parks and stuff that have non-native trees and lush green grass. Telopea Park is nice enough, and the Lake Burly Griffin and surrounding areas are also pretty. The city is full of circles. I don't know if you've ever seen a map of Canberra? Parliament house is encircled by two roads, one inside the other, and the city centre is also encircled by a road. Round-a-bouts everywhere here. The city of circles.

Anyway, it's nice to be with Aidan... although he's back in Melbourne right now, to finalise stuff at our old home. He'll be back this afternoon.

We still need somewhere to live!
