Some people just make me want to SCREAM!!! They call up and I tell them what happened and I apologise and explain what I will now do for them. BUT IT'S NEVER ENOUGH!!! They just want more and more and MORE,or they just want to complain and whinge and moan about it, and then they try to sound menacing by asking for my name again at the end of the call - as if they're actually going to tell somebody about it or lodge a complaint. I just felt like telling her, I don't give a crap because I've already quit and it's because of people like you!

It's calls like that which make me realise that yes, leaving the call centre industry is the best thing I've ever done.

Good for you! I've heard about all the frustrations in that industry and how it takes a toll on them not only emotionally and mentally, but also physically! You deserve bigger and better things stace :)

Yes, sadly, people project their own unhappy lives onto others and others become the buffer of their disgust. It is not you, it is them, thank goodness you are leaving girl!!!

Write down the phone numbers of the most tedious kvetchers and start getting drunk and calling them from public phone booths in the middle of the night to complain about it being DARK after supper.

I know that's childish but it would be fun.

At least you've been reassured as to why you quit the job and that you were right to quit the job and you can be so happy and thankful that you have a new job to go to!!! Yess!! I would never want to be a phone-jockey, as my dear husband calls them. *smile* Just couldn't do it...ever.
